Waters is wise

If you ever have the chance to hear an interview with cult film director John Waters, jump at it, even if you have never seen any of his movies. Last week, he appeared on the Marc Steiner show on WYPR, a Baltimore public radio station; I missed the first half hour, but I went back and listened to the archive. He is always smart, thoughtful and absolutely hilarious. He can be just as outrageous as his films, but he will make you think and laugh.
